Nutrition & Dietetics

The Department of Dietetics at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital consists of a dedicated team of dietitians who provide counseling and nutritional intervention essential to our body for our health and general well-being.

The dietary requirements of the human body change as one moves through different life and/ or medical stages. The dietitians translate scientific evidence-based research on nutrition, health, and disease and apply this information to the nutritional needs of patients. This is done by assessing dietary intake and planning appropriate medical nutrition therapy to suit and improve the clinical and health outcome of individuals.

The dietitians also work together with other healthcare professionals in multi-disciplinary teams.
